Information For Readers

Australian Field Ornithology is an on-line annual peer reviewed journal, including an annual volume index. Articles will be made available online soon after acceptance and members will be informed of new articles via BirdLife Australia's monthly e-news and occasional direct emails.

BirdLife Australia members and those accessing Australian Field Ornithology (AFO) via Informit and other digital research databases have full access to the current volume of AFO and all past volumes of AFO and The Australian Bird Watcher dating back to 1959. Access to everybody else is free for all articles two years and older, as well as a selection of more recent publications. You simply need to create a BirdLife account and login. All readers are required to login to AFO online - this allows the journal to evidence the level of support or readership and to contact readers with notification of new articles. See BirdLife Australia's privacy statement for further information.
