Abstract

Aspects of the behaviour of the Black-breasted Buzzard Hamirostra melanosternon are described including: high soaring, diving displays, territorial disputes, nest defence, calls, nest building, allopreening and copulation. Data on nesting density and observations of hunting behaviour and roosting are presented.
