Abstract

Based on evidence from observations in Melbourne and Canberra, taken as sample points where many data are available, this note documents the increase in abundance of the Rainbow Lorikeet Trichoglossus haematodus in south-east Australia. I also present new data consistent with regular movements southwards during the warmer months and northwards in autumn.
