Abstract
A pair of Collared Sparrow hawks Accipiter cirrhocephalus was watched for 9.3 hours during the incubation period, October/November 1984, at Orbost, Victoria. After approximately 35 days' incubation of the clutch of five eggs, the nest failed. The female incubated for 89%, and the male for 11%, of observation time. Sex roles, behaviour and calls are described.
