Abstract

Observations were made on nesting Masked Lapwings Viznellus miles over 11 years. The outcomes of 18 nesting attempts were documented; four young fledged from 57 eggs laid, a success rate of 7%. Many eggs and young were presumed depredated although no predation was observed. Descriptions of the behaviour of the nesting birds are included.
