Australasian Grebe Activity on a Flood-retarding Basin

Abstract

This paper reports observations of breeding activity of Australasian Grebes Tachybaptus novaehollandiae, the movement and survival of a nest when the water-level rose rapidly, and an intruding Grebe feeding one of the resident birds’ young.
