Multiple Matings by a Pair of Rainbow Lorikeets

Abstract

This note describes an observation of a pair of wild Rainbow Lorikeets Trichoglossus haematodus engaging in five successive copulations. Multiple matings in the wild have not been described in the literature for this species.
