What Became of the First Thick-billed Grasswren Specimens from Central Australia?

Abstract

Two (not three) Thick-billed Grasswrens Amytornis modestus were collected in central Australia in 1894, and they were probably discarded because they were too badly damaged to retain as museum specimens.
