Apparent Attempted Predation on a Tree-frog by a Little Shrike-thrush

Abstract

This note describes an apparent predation attempt by a Little Shrike-thrush Colluricincla megarhyncha on an Orange-thighed Tree-Frog Litoria xanthocera. The frog was dislodged as the bird foraged in a palm tree and, although the bird followed it to the ground, the frog escaped into nearby cover.
