Learning about Cane Toads: Response to Donato & Potts (2004)

Abstract

The ability of Torresian Crows Corvus orru  in the Northern Territory to consume Cane Toads Bufo marinus without being poisoned is evidently an acquired behaviour. However, it may have been acquired on many occasions and need not involve cultural transmission of knowledge. There is insufficient information to determine the process by which these behaviours have become established.
