Abstract
On 16 December 1999, an Abbott's Booby Papasula abbotti was seen perched in a tree at Eco Beach, Western Australia. The bird was exhausted and taken into captivity for rehabilitation. A description of the bird is given from observations in the hand and from slide photography. Identification of other Booby species is discussed.
