Field Observations on the Australian Dotterel

Abstract

Published references to the Australian Dotterel, Peltohyas australis, in Victoria are scarce, but these notes show that occurrences and breeding in northern Victoria are more widespread and frequent than has been supposed. Evidence is given of probable annual breeding in Victoria, with observations on juveniles and downy chicks.
