Fairy and Little Terns Breeding on Tasmania's East Coast

Abstract

General observations on the breeding of the Fairy Tern, Sterna nereis, on Tasmania's east coast are related, together with a more detailed account of the breeding of the Little Tern. S. albifrons, in the same area. Brief notes are given of the differences between the two species, discernible in the field with the aid of binoculars.
