Further Notes on Nesting Little Eagles

pp. 196-201

Abstract

This paper expands on previous accounts by providing additional data on the behaviour of breeding Little Eagles Hieraaetus morphnoides and their nestlings. Some evidence is also presented on the fidelity of Little Eagles to the same breeding territory in successive years. The study area at Armidale, New South Wales, the methods used and the eagles concerned are those detailed in previous papers (Debus 1983, 1984). Additional, though brief, observations were made in the 1981, 1982 and 1983 breeding seasons.
