Some Breeding Records of the Common Koel Eudynamys scolopacea

Abstract

Information is presented on Common Koe1s Eudynamys scolopacea breeding at Pleystowe, Queensland, and using Figbirds Sphecotheres viridis as hosts. Observations on Koels after fledging include descriptions of plumage changes in young birds prior to dispersaL Some comments are also included on information on the Common Koel in other references.
