Nankeen Kestrel Falco cenchroides Takes Crested Pigeon Ocyphaps lophotes

Abstract

This note details a Crested Pigeon Ocyphaps lophotes as a prey item of a Nankeen kestrel Falco cenchroides. The Kestrel apparently killed the Pigeon, of perhaps similar weight to the Kestrel, and was able to carry it with difficulty into a strong head wind.
