Spotted Redshank Tringa erythropus in Australia

Abstract

There are six reports of Spotted Redshank Tringa erythropus having occurred in Australia, two of which are now properly validated records. One of these is of a bird present near Melbourne in the autumn of 1992. This occurrence is documented and previous reports are noted and discussed.
